I love the fall of the year. The colors, the crisp weather, the migration of birds. It's also a good time to pick some things! This photo is part of my rose hip harvest. They are almost completely dry, and I use them for tinctures and tea. I'll go out now and cut back the canes so there will be a bountiful crop next autumn. These roses were "volunteers" and simply appeared a few years ago. This particular area gets full sun all day and excellent air flow which keeps the bugs and diseases at bay.
